Our Level 3 Data course is designed to introduce you to a career working as a Data Technician, where you’ll learn how to source, process, analyse and store data using different datasets and software.
Data roles are currently in high-demand across many different industries in the UK, with 72% of companies having increased their use of data over the
past three years, according to Fortray Global Services.
As part of this course, you’ll complete several units that cover a wide range of skills needed for roles working with data.
The course is delivered in a virtual classroom, so you will need access to a laptop/computer with an internet connection to complete the course.
On completion of the course, you’ll receive an industry-recognised Level 3 NCFE qualification in Data.

The aim of this unit is to help you understand where common sources of data can be found, the purpose and function of data formats and their importance for analysis. You will also understand the purpose and function of data architecture for a specific business requirement.
In this unit, you will be able to collect, format, blend, link and save datasets from multiple sources. You will also be able to prepare data for analysis as well as test and assess confidence in the data and its integrity for a specific business requirement.
The aim of this unit is to teach you how to apply appropriate statistical methods and algorithms, and filter data for analysis to support a specific business requirement.
This unit focuses on visualisation tools, communication methods and the characteristics that inform the appropriate method. You will be able to apply visualisation techniques and communicate data and results to the appropriate audience for a specific business requirement.
This unit aims to help you understand the legal and regulatory requirements and apply data handling, storing and distribution securely for a specific business requirement.
In this unit, you will understand the role of data within a business context and be able to operate as part of a multi-functional team. You will also learn how to inform your own continuous professional development (CPD) through identification of technological developments for a specific business requirement.
