The aim of this unit is to learn how to support children and young people to plan towards achieving positive outcomes, and then help them to deal with attitudes or behaviours that may undermine their learning opportunities.
In this unit, you’ll learn and understand how to support children and young people with speech, language and communication needs. You will learn how to support children and young people with behaviour, social and emotional difficulties and know how to work with others to support children and young people.
The aim of this unit is to consider the support available for disabled children and young people and the approaches taken to implement services. You will learn how services impact on children and young people who have specific requirements and the legal requirements for recording, sharing and storing information.
Our Principles of Special Educational Needs Level 3 course is an online, industry-recognised qualification designed to provide in-depth knowledge of special educational needs (SEN). It covers child development, communication needs, behavioural support, and legal responsibilities for supporting children and young people with SEN.
The course is open to adults aged 19+ who meet the eligibility criteria, including good English and Maths skills, communication proficiency, and eligibility to work in the UK. It is particularly suitable for those pursuing careers in education, childcare, or SEN support roles.
The course is delivered online via virtual classroom sessions on a daily basis for the duration of the course. The total course duration varies, but typically takes between 14-20 days, which includes interactive lessons and assessments.
